Katonah, NY — Today, Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick’s PAC, Moms Fed Up, has endorsed Liz Whitmer Gereghty in her campaign for Congress in New York’s 17th Congressional District. Women still only represent 27% of Congress, and moms with young children make up less than 10%. We need more moms at tables where legislation is being created and passed regarding our children and their futures because their perspective is not only critical, it’s personal. And that is exactly why Rep. Kirkpatrick founded Moms Fed Up.
“Moms are always thinking about the future. Watching where we are headed as a country, I knew I had to do whatever I could to change our trajectory, to fight for a better world for my kids and all of our kids. And that’s exactly what Moms Fed Up is committed to, and one of the reasons I am so honored to have their support in my campaign for Congress in New York’s 17th District,” said Liz Whitmer Gereghty.
“As a mom, community leader, and small businesswoman, Liz is the voice we need in Congress to protect reproductive freedom, advocate for working families, and create a better world for our children,” said Rep. Kirkpatrick.
In 2022, New York’s 17th Congressional District flipped from Democrat to Republican by less than 2000 votes. Under the new lines, the 17th Congressional District is a Biden +10 making it one of the handful of districts in the country that President Biden won and currently represented by a Republican in Congress. The district is already rated a “toss up” by the nonpartisan Cook Political Report for the 2024 cycle solidifying it as of the most influential races in the country in determining party control of the House of Representatives.
